Door County Barn Makes Music come alive
All Fishstock Music Series concerts take place in Fish Creek, Door County. Sunday concerts are held in the hayloft and begin at 7 p.m. and run until 9:30 p.m. with a twenty-minute intermission. Saturday concerts begin at 9 p.m. and end at 1 a.m. and are held downstairs on the rock n roll stage.
We offer free coffee, iced tea, and soft drinks free of charge during concert breaks. You may bring your own libation, but please no glass. The price of admission is ten dollars for adults. Children under 12 are free. We also feature a ten-foot by 12-foot screen displaying our concerts live on the lower level in digital quality for the elderly or disabled who are not able to reach the hayloft.
Our concerts are held in a 100-year-old Door County dairy barn, which has been renovated to seat 150 people in our hayloft acoustic area (for solo, duet and trio acts), and 400 in our ground-level big stage area. Both concert areas feature independent state of the art lighting and sound systems, giving our sound and lighting crew the ability to adapt to the stage area, creating a personal setting for performers and audiences alike.
Just follow the lighted path from the marked parking area to the concert entrance at the rear of the barn. Admission is collected here, wristbands are issued to those with valid identification, and hand stamps are given to those under drinking age. We also offer outside seating for those who wish to smoke or visit during intermission under a beautiful canopy of starlit northern skies.
Fishstock Music Series features a wide variety of musical genres, while our focus has been on folk music since our first concert series began five years ago. Fishstock Music Series has featured Kerrville songwriter of the year winners, Memphis flat picker of the year winners, and songwriter and vocalist of the year winners. We have also featured many talented musicians form our local American Folklore Theater Troupe, as well. The extraordinary acoustics of the 100-year-old barn as has led to many of the performers to record the shows and release them as live albums.
Whether you are interested in folk, gospel, bluegrass, jazz, flamenco, blues, reggae, or good old rock n roll, you will find them all at Fishstock Music Series, at Camp Davids concert barn in Fish Creek, Wisconsin.
See you at the shows.
